Art in the Gardens 2025 – Artist Application

Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens invites artists of all kinds to submit an application to exhibit their original work for the juried summer event, Art in the Gardens. The two-day event will take place on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3 from 11:00am to 5:00pm. All artists must commit to setting up and participating in both days of the event. This event is a major fundraiser for the Gardens and attracts as many as 2,500 guests each year. Artist booths will be located on our Event Lawn just a short walk from the Ocean Bluffs.

Complete this application and submit the required $30 non-refundable jury fee by Monday, March 24, 2025.

A jury will select 60 participating artists and notify all applicants in April 2025. If selected, artist will be required to turn in a 25% commission to the Gardens at the end of the event (5:00PM; 8/3/25). All artists must commit to setting up and participating in both days of the event. The MCBG Event Lawn has WiFi and limited cellular service. Artists must be prepared to handle sales offline as a backup. The Gardens cannot handle transactions for artists.

Entry Guidelines

All original art will be considered in the jury process. Accepted media includes—but is not limited to—ceramics, culinary, glass, paintings, sculpture, textiles, photography, live performances, music, dance, and woodworking.

Participating Artists Agreement

Fundraising event

Fundraising event YES, I understand that this event is a fundraiser for the Gardens and that a 25% commission from all artist's sales will go to the support of the Gardens. Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens is a 501(c)3 non-profit botanical garden, our mission is to engage and enrich lives by displaying and conserving plants in harmony with our Northern California coastal ecosystems and to preserve public access to the coast.

Artist/vendor commission

Artist/vendor sales

Artist/vendor sales YES, I understand that all artists/vendors are responsible for handling their own sales including sales tax. The Gardens will not be handling any artist/vendor transactions.
